Solar for business

Fix one overhead for 25 years.

Energy is one of the few costs you can lock in. A right-sized commercial system cuts operating costs from day one — with SEAI grants doing the heavy lifting.

SEAI non-domestic supports help fund the system; the saving lands on your bill from the first sunny day.

Questions

Commercial solar — straight answers

What support is there for commercial solar in Ireland?

SEAI non-domestic supports can be worth up to €162,600 depending on system size and eligibility. We assess what your premises qualifies for and handle the application as part of the job.

How much does a commercial system cost?

Commercial systems are priced per kWp and scoped at survey — the right size depends on your roof and your load profile. The free survey gives you an exact figure, not a guess.

Do we need planning permission?

Most commercial rooftops are exempt from planning permission for solar, with limited exceptions such as some protected structures. We confirm this for your premises at survey.

How long until it pays for itself?

It depends on your daytime load and the grant, but businesses that run through daylight hours typically see a strong payback, then decades of fixed-cost generation beyond it.

Can we export what we don't use?

Yes. The Clean Export Guarantee pays roughly 15–25c per kWh for electricity you export. We set up the export registration with your supplier.
